We offer full in-house print finishing.
Print finishing is the process that happens after the printing has been completed. It's the process that cuts, creases and binds the product ready for delivery and is a crucial process to the job your product needs to do for you.
We have an original Heidelberg Cylinder, dating back to the 1950's, which we have converted to a cutting and creasing machine.
Using bespoke dies it performs an important role within Mercia for the cutting out and creasing of folders and shapes. Even with today's technology the cylinder provides Mercia with an efficient die-cutting service.
We provide a full range of in-house finishing including:
Coating: in gloss and matt, shimmering foil, metallics and UV varnishes. Including highlighting and spot coating.
Binding: perfect binding, saddle-stitching, wire binding, screw/post binding.
Laminating: matt, gloss, soft touch and scratch-resistant laminating to enhance and protect the print.
Foiling & Embossing: foil blocking in a range of colours including metallics, transparencies and pigment colours, embossing and debossing.
Guilt Edging: a luxury finish in a range of metallics as well as pantone matching options.
Die-cutting: die-cut or kiss-cut virtually any shape you want. Perfect for pocket folders, packaging, stickers and much more.
