Mercia Image Print are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for two prestigious awards in the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2017!
Earlier on in the year we decided to enter two categories in the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards. We filled out the entry forms they provided for both Manufacturer of the Year and Apprentice of the Year in the hope that we would reach the final stages, and on Thursday the 29th of June we found out that we were a finalist in both of these categories!
Despite strong competition in each category, Mercia impressed the judges in the Manufacturer of the Year category and Mercia’s apprentice, Tom Lacey, impressed in the Apprentice of the Year category.
Amanda Strong, Mercia’s Managing Director said: “This is a testament to the hard work and commitment every single person at Mercia puts in to their job – every single day, helping the business run so smoothly and continue to grow. To be a Manufacturer of the Year finalist is an amazing achievement, especially when you consider the amount of outstanding manufacturing businesses that we have here in Derbyshire.”
Tom Lacey, Mercia’s Digital Media and Marketing Co-ordinator was also delighted to receive the nomination. He said, “I’ve had a great year with 3aaa and Mercia. When I left college I realised University wasn’t for me and I wanted to get in to the working world, so to be singled out for my achievements makes me very proud”
We will find out the results of the awards at the Gala Dinner on Friday the 8th of September which will be held at Derbyshire Cricket Club’s 3aaa County Ground. Keep an eye out for the blog post after the awards to see how we got on. Also, don’t forget to wish us luck on our social media links! Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
